The donations fall into two categories. Firstly, the personal donations made to Cancer Research UK by friends and loved ones of Irene plus the revenue from the individual fundraising efforts of inAid supporters in memory of Irene. Secondly, the company, inAid Ltd, distributes its revenue on a quarterly basis to Cancer Research UK and other charities. The first operating quarter began in April 2010.
The donations are made out of pre-tax profits and, as charitable donations, they are exempt from Corporation Tax meaning that the maximum amount goes to the charities.
